Meet Information

Bring your uniform, race spikes, Plano East warmups (no pajamas), socks, backpack, water bottle, MASK, Ziploc bag for the mask, snacks.

  • Athletes are responsible for their own 64 oz - 1-gallon water jug throughout the season.  Mandatory for practice and meets. 
  • Face masks must be worn at all times when not warming up, racing, or cooling down.  All spectators must wear masks when 6 feet of social distancing is not possible. 
  • Temperature checks need to be done FROM HOME and fill our daily questionnaire prior to arriving to meet.
Time:  Races begin at 7:30 AM - Estimated Start Times Below
 

The bus will leave Plano East at 5:20 AM! Arrive at Plano East no later than 5:05 AM to help with loading equipment!

  • Please only ride the bus if you NEED a ride!  Parents must drive students to meet, students can not drive themselves to and/or from.  We recommend families drive to the meet with their son/daughter to limit unnecessary contact with the team.

Field Events begin at 9:00 AM - see time schedule for entries/order

Running Events begin at 2:00 PM - know what time your event is and warm-up accordingly!  If spectating, please arrive 30 minutes before the predicted time on schedule.  This meet has a tendency to run long.  Please bring snacks/drinks.

 

Busses

All field event athletes will leave Plano East at 7:00 AM.  Please arrive at 6:40 to help load gear on busses  DO NOT BE LATE!  IF YOU ARE LATE, YOU WILL NOT COMPETE!  We will pull out of the parking lot at 7:00 AM SHARP.

All other student-athletes will leave Plano East at 11:30 AM.  McMillen student-athletes get on bus after 2nd period.  Williams student-athletes get on bus at the Warrior Center after 2nd period.   DO NOT BE LATE!  IF YOU ARE LATE, YOU WILL NOT COMPETE!  We will pull out of the parking lot at 11:30 AM SHARP.  Check-in with Coach Pugh or Coach Nunley when you arrive to mark you off.

 

All student-athletes will stay for the entire meet and ride bus back to Plano East as a team.  If any concerns, issues, or questions please contact Coach Reed.

Please bring layers to wear during the meet, as well as gloves and something to cover your ears.  Make sure you bring your spikes!  Bring snacks or plan for your parents to bring you a meal at the meet for after your races.  We will have granola bars there and smaller items to snack on.

Students who do not have gear will pick it up from Coach Reed on Thursday morning before we leave.   Wash gear at the conclusion of the meet when you get home, DO NOT wait to wash.  If students lose gear that we hand out, they will be responsible for reimbursing the program for the cost of items lost.

Parking is $5. Lots will open Monday at 7:45 a.m. In order to reduce traffic congestion, coaches should not enter until two hours prior to their championship.
